THE PAIN BEHIND HER SMILE-

The FOREVERSMILING FUND has been set up to help our 10 yr old daughter KAYLEY who is very ill, she has not been able to eat since the age of 9 months old without having chronic stomach pains and being violently sick. She was referred to a top London hospital 3 yrs ago after being told for 5 yrs by local hospital there was nothing wrong with her and it was all in her head.

I also was accused of having Munchausen's Bi-proxy a mental health problem where you make up illness's in order for attention by previous doctors that couldn't be bothered to investigate what was wrong, not once but twice !

On both occasions i was cleared DID I RECEIVE A APOLOGY NO ! but do you know what it doesn't matter because it has made me stronger and more determined to fight for what my daughter needs.

If any parent believes their child is ill don't be fobbed off fight for what you believe MAKE SURE YOUR HEARD ! Since being under her consultant in London she has endured around 28 operations and tests along with intensive physio rehab to find out what is wrong and has NOW been diagnosed with various problems.

What they DON'T know is whats causing it you see kayleys nerves in her stomach dont work therefore her stomach muscles dont work and her stomach does not empty , she is now attached to a feeding pump for 18hrs a day  to KEEP HER ALIVE as she cannot eat a single thing by mouth so this is her only source of nutrition.

She also has Ehlers Danlos Type 3 and is now in a wheelchair due to poor mobility and pain along with C.V.S,Gastroparesis,Dumping Syndrome and various other illnesses. She is now waiting to have a GASTRIC PACEMAKER fitted to stop her feeling and being sick every minute of the day.

Kayley can no longer run around with her younger siblings , eat with her family, go to sleep overs ,attend parties, only attends school for total of half the year and rarely goes a day without being sick or unwell , Yet she never moans !!

It breaks our heart to see our beautiful daughter to go from such a energentic and happy fun loving little girl to someone who has to call for help everytime she needs the toilet a bath or to get around the house,seeing her so sick to the point where she cannot get out of bed for days at a time tears us apart Fighting for answers and fighting to get her the help she needs is soul destroying, so we decided to do something ourselves.

We contacted various hospitals in the states and to get the answers we need. Within 2 days we had a reply from two saying they could help us so we are trying to raise the money to get the private treatment she needs , as well as funding to help to make kayleys life at home in the GARDEN AS SAFE  and wheelchair friendly as we can so she can enjoy the outdoors.
